Bachelor of Arts in Business

(Video produced by WPTY ABC24)

Business is booming for graduates with a business degree. It's the most popular bachelor's degree in the country according to a recent national study of human resource professions. The results of the study show that a degree in business administration puts job seekers among the top two highest sought-after positions overall. Take advantage of the new Bachelor of Arts in Business degree, designed to meet the special needs of the adult learner.

Cohort Model Makes You Part of an Academic Learning Community
Using the cohort model to deliver the program means you will be with your classmates for aII coursework and be part of a learning community throughout your academic career at CBU. Because we want to maintain the personal approach to education, class sizes will be limited to no more than 25 students to assure individualized attention.

Practical
The B.A. in Business curriculum has been redesigned to include those courses you can use to build your career. Required courses have been reduced and elective courses expanded, which makes it possible to transfer in more credit hours from your previous academic experiences. Prior Learning Experience (PLE) will also be a part of the academic program, providing credit for approved training from non-academic institutions. This means that training programs you have participated in at work may be used to replace courses in the required or elective curriculum.

Convenient
As an adult learner, your time is valuable. We want to assist in making the best use of your time by offering courses in such a way that you can take a full academic load and still only be on campus one night per week. With very few exceptions, courses will be delivered using either a hybrid online or online format. The hybrid online format combines classroom instruction with online materials, minimizing the time you spend in the classroom. This means you can still take 12 semester hours (six hours per eight-week term) and meet just one night per week.
